Changing the Initial Settings
Setting the Rear Speaker Lead
This product’s rear speaker leads can be used for full-range speaker (“Full Range”) or
Subwoofer (“Sub Woofer”) connection. If you switch Rear Speaker Lead setting to the
“Sub Woofer”, you can connect a rear speaker lead directly to a Subwoofer without using an
auxiliary amp.
Initially, the unit is set for rear full-range speaker connection (“Full Range”).
1. Select “Full Range” by moving the joystick.
“Full Range” is highlighted in green.
2. Click the joystick.
Each click toggles Full Range/Sub Woofer.
Note:
When no Subwoofer is connected to the rear speaker lead, select “Full Range”.
When a Subwoofer is connected to the rear speaker lead, set for Subwoofer “Sub Woofer”.
Even if you change to “Sub Woofer”, there is no output unless you switch the Subwoofer
Output (see page 72) in the Audio Menu ON.
Setting the Subwoofer Controller
When rear speaker leads are connected to full range speakers (when “Full Range” is selected),
you can connect the RCA Subwoofer output to a Subwoofer. In this case, you can select
whether to use the Subwoofer controller’s (Low Pass Filter, Phase) built-in “Internal” or the
auxiliary “External”.
1. Select “Internal” by moving the joystick.
“Internal” is highlighted in green.
2. Click the joystick.
Each click toggles Internal/External.
Note:
When the Rear Speaker Lead setting is “Sub Woofer”, you cannot change the Subwoofer con-
troller.
If you change the Subwoofer Controller, Subwoofer output and Non Fading output in the
Audio Menu return to the factory settings.
Even if you change this setting, there is no output unless you switch the Non Fading Output
(see page 71) or Subwoofer Output (see page 72) in the Audio Menu ON.
Setting the Time
This is the mode for setting the time on the product’s clock display.
1. Select “Adjust” by moving the joystick.
“Adjust” is highlighted in green.
2. Click the joystick.
The clock adjustment display appears on the screen.
