Dual-mono setting
The dual-mono setting applies only to Dolby Digital
discs that feature dual-mono material—see the disc
box for details.
Dual-mono discs are recorded with two independent
channels that may be played together or separately
depending on the situation. For example, a guitar
tuition disc might have the guitar recorded on one
channel and all the other instruments on the other. Use
the dual-mono setting to play just the guitar part on its
own; just the backing, or everything together (through
separate speakers, or mixed).
1 Press SYSTEM SETUP.
• Access this function together with the
SHIFT button.
2 Press the 2 or 3 button until you see
one of the displays shown below.
3 Use the 5 and ∞ buttons to change the
dual-mono setting.

L-ch1 R-ch2
default setting (the left channel is played through the
left speaker; the right through the right)
•
ch1
The left channel is played through the center speaker
(or through the left and right speakers if Surround
Off is selected); the right channel is muted.
•
ch2
The right channel is played through the center speaker
(or through the left and right speakers if Surround
Off is selected); the left channel is muted.
•
MIX
The left and right channels are mixed together and
played through the center speaker (or through both left
and right speakers if Surround Off is selected).
4 Press ENTER to make the setting.
Réglage dual-mono
Le réglage dual-mono s’applique seulement aux
disques en Dolby Digital qui offrent un matériel dual-
mono. Voir l’étui du disque pour plus de détails.
Les disques dual-mono sont enregistrés avec deux
canaux indépendants qui peuvent être lus ensemble ou
séparément selon la situation. Par exemple, sur un
disque de cours de guitare, la guitare doit être
enregistrée sur un canal et les autres instruments sur
d’autres. Utilisez le réglage dual-mono pour ne pouvoir
lire que la partie correspondante à la guitare ; que le
fond, ou tout ensemble (à travers des enceintes séparées,
ou mélangées).
1 Appuyez sur SYSTEM SETUP.
• Accédez à cette fonction ensemble avec la touche
SHIFT.
2 Appuyez sur la touche 2 ou 3 jusqu’à ce
que vous voyiez un des affichages montrés
ci-dessous.
3 Utilisez les touches 5 et ∞ pour changer
le réglage dual-mono.

Réglage par défaut (le canal de gauche est lu à travers
l’enceinte gauche ; celui de droite à travers celle de
droite).

Le canal de gauche est lu à travers l’enceinte centrale
(ou à travers les enceintes droite et gauche si Sur-
round Off est sélectionné) ; le canal de droite est
coupé.

ch2
Le canal de droite est lu à travers l’enceinte centrale (ou
à travers les enceintes droite et gauche si Surround
Off est sélectionné) ; le canal de gauche est coupé.
•
MIX
Les canaux de droite et de gauche sont mélangés et sont
lus à travers l’enceinte centrale (ou à traves des deux
enceintes droite et gauche si Surround Off est
sélectionné).
4 Appuyez sur ENTER pour faire le réglage.
