PRV-9000 Operating Instructions
The directions below include images of the on-screen displays for a Standard
recording however the instructions apply to both Standard and Disc timer
recording.
1. Load a recordable disc in to the recorder.
If loading an unformatted DVD-RW disc, it is automatically formatted as
a VR disc. This process requires approximately 40 seconds.
2. Press the PlusCode button to display the VCR Plus+ menu screen.
3. Enter the PlusCode programming code using the number pad.
To erase the last digit entered, press the CLEAR button.
To correct a PlusCode, Rec Mode, or Rec Times setting (after
pressing ENTER), press the RETURN button on the remote.
4. Press REC MODE to change the recording quality and adjust the times.
VR format discs – switch between SP and MN recording (MN
setting requires an additional choice of a quality level)
Video format discs – although V1 and V2 are unavailable, leave at
the SP setting then use REC MODE to select a quality level
5. Select the frequency option using the joystick (moving left/right).
Frequency options are Once, Daily, and Weekly.
6. Press ENTER to confirm the new settings.
Program details flash on the bottom of the screen then the menu
automatically closing after three seconds.
Note: If the guide channels still require set up, the recorder prompts you to
select the television channel broadcasting the program.
7. Select the channel if necessary by moving the joystick left/right.
Channel options scroll through the field.
8. Press ENTER to confirm the settings.
9. Switch the recorder in to Standby before the recording is due to start.
To check or change a program, follow the steps below:
1. Press SETUP to access the Setup menu.
2. Press ENTER to display the timer programming screen.
3. Review and adjust programs as needed.
4. Press SETUP to exit the menu.
5. Place the recorder in Standby mode prior to the program start time.
